Kian graduated with a Master of Research in Economics with Distinction from the University of Bath, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Bristol. His studies have given him a strong foundation in economic theory, finance, data analysis and analytical thinking.
Alongside tutoring in the UK, Kian worked as an A Level examiner, marking examination papers and gaining valuable insight into how students are assessed. This experience has enabled him to help students understand exactly what examiners are looking for while strengthening both their subject knowledge and exam technique.
Kian’s teaching approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding rather than simply memorising content. By using real world examples and business case studies, he helps students make sense of complex economic and commercial concepts while developing the confidence to apply their knowledge effectively in examinations. He encourages curiosity, independent thinking and open discussion, creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, analysing current events and exploring ideas.
Kian tailors every lesson to the individual needs and goals of each learner. His calm, approachable and adaptable teaching style helps students build confidence, strengthen their analytical thinking and achieve their academic potential.
Outside tutoring, Kian enjoys reading, watching history documentaries, travelling, exploring new cafés and keeping active through running and going to the gym.
