ACADEMIC MANAGER and Science tutor

Claire is ITG’s Academic Manager, providing academic leadership and ongoing support to our tutoring team while also working directly with students as an experienced Maths and Science tutor. With over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in international schools across Egypt, Romania, Kazakhstan, Myanmar and Oman, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to both our tutors and families.

Originally qualifying as a Geologist before completing a Master’s in Marine Geotechnics, Claire has continued to develop professionally throughout her career. She also holds a Master’s in Inclusivity and Equity and is currently completing a Doctorate in Education at the University of Bath, demonstrating her commitment to providing the highest quality education for every student.

As Academic Manager, Claire works closely with our tutors to maintain ITG’s high teaching standards, providing guidance, mentoring and academic support across the team. Her extensive experience across international curricula enables her to ensure students receive personalised, high quality tuition tailored to their individual learning needs.

In her own lessons, Claire creates a calm, supportive and structured learning environment where students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of Maths and Science, and prepare effectively for examinations. She believes that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can achieve success.

Outside teaching, Claire enjoys travelling, cooking and reading. She has also volunteered internationally, leading teacher training programmes in Guyana, Malaysia and Uganda.
