Jacob is an experienced Mathematics and Computer Science tutor, graduating with an Integrated Master’s degree (MMath) in Mathematics from the University of Bath.
Jacob began tutoring as a volunteer GCSE Mathematics tutor at his former secondary school. Since starting university, he has spent over five years tutoring A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science, and GCSE STEM subjects, helping students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and achieve excellent academic results.
Alongside private tutoring, Jacob was selected to teach undergraduate Mathematics seminars at his university due to his outstanding academic performance. During his degree, he led seminars in Real Analysis, Multivariable Calculus, and Probability Theory, further developing his ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Jacob’s academic achievements include A*–A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science at A-Level, competing in the British Mathematical Olympiad, and receiving a competitive research grant to undertake pure mathematics research in Canada during 2023.
Outside of tutoring, Jacob enjoys solving Mathematical Olympiad problems, writing about advanced mathematical thinking, and playing football.
