FAQ

Yes. Our tutors tailor lessons to align with each student’s school curriculum and academic goals. We support a wide range of international programmes, including IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, SAT, and other international school curricula. Lessons are designed to complement what students are learning in school while strengthening understanding and confidence.

Every student has different strengths, challenges, and learning styles, which we identify through an initial Diagnostic assessment. Our tutors personalise lesson plans based on the student’s academic level, school requirements, pace of learning, and individual goals. Lessons can focus on strengthening foundations, extending advanced skills, preparing for exams, or improving confidence in specific topics.

Lessons can support exam preparation, school assessments, and IB coursework such as IAs, IOs, TOK, and other assessment components, while also reinforcing school learning.

For homework, we encourage students to first attempt tasks independently to help develop confidence and problem solving skills. If they are still struggling afterwards, tutors will guide them through the questions and help strengthen their understanding.

Tutors use a combination of school materials, past papers, worksheets, textbooks, digital resources, and tutor-created materials tailored to the student’s needs. Lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and aligned with the student’s curriculum and learning objectives.

Yes. We have successfully supported students transitioning between schools or curricula, including moving into programmes such as IB, IGCSE, or other international systems. Tutors help students bridge knowledge gaps, adjust to new academic expectations, and build confidence during the transition.

Yes. Many students receive support across multiple subjects depending on their academic needs. We can arrange lessons with specialist tutors in different subjects to provide comprehensive academic support while maintaining a consistent learning experience.

We identify each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning gaps through a Diagnostic Session and ongoing assessment. Tutors then create personalised lesson plans focused not only on academic improvement, but also on building confidence, motivation, organisation, and independent learning skills through our unique CAMIO mentoring approach.

Through a diagnostic assessment with the tutor, we evaluate the student’s current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. Following the assessment, a personalised progress plan will be shared with parents outlining learning goals and recommended support.

Every student progresses at a different pace depending on their goals, consistency, and starting point. Many parents notice improvements in confidence, understanding, and classroom performance within the first few months of regular lessons. Long-term academic growth is typically built through consistent support and practice over time.

Our students have achieved strong academic outcomes across a range of international programmes, including IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, and SAT. Many students improve their grades, strengthen subject understanding, achieve target exam scores, and gain greater confidence in school. We focus not only on results, but also on building long-term academic skills and independent learning habits.

Tutors monitor progress through lesson observations, ongoing assessments, school performance, and regular communication with parents. We track both academic improvement and confidence development to ensure lessons continue to meet the student’s evolving needs and goals.

Yes. Many students become more confident as they develop a stronger understanding of their subjects and feel better prepared for class and assessments. Our tutors create a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, build problem-solving skills, and develop greater independence in their learning.

Absolutely. Tutoring is not only for students who are struggling academically. High-achieving students often benefit from additional challenge, extension work, advanced subject support, and preparation for competitive exams or higher-level programmes. Lessons can help students deepen understanding, strengthen critical thinking skills, and reach their full academic potential.

Our tutors identify and address gaps in foundational understanding while still supporting current schoolwork. Lessons are carefully structured to rebuild core knowledge step by step, helping students develop stronger confidence and a more secure understanding of key concepts.

Yes. We recognise that every student learns differently. Tutors adapt their teaching approach, pace, and materials to suit each student’s individual learning style, strengths, and needs. Our goal is to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and effective for every learner.

Yes. Our tutors are primarily from the UK and US, with strong academic backgrounds from leading international schools and universities. They are native English speakers or highly fluent English-speaking educators experienced in teaching international curricula and communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Our tutors usually work with us for a full academic year, so in most cases students will have the same dedicated tutor throughout the year. This helps build consistency, strong rapport, and a deeper understanding of the student’s learning style and academic goals. While occasional tutor changes may sometimes be necessary, we always try to keep these to a minimum and ensure any transition is handled smoothly.

We match tutors and students based on the student’s curriculum, academic needs, learning style, personality, and goals. After the initial client meeting, we match students with tutors based on the subject, academic level, and personality fit to ensure the best possible learning experience.

Yes. We occasionally conduct assessment weeks where students complete a progress assessment after several weeks of lessons. Following the assessment, we share a report with parents outlining the student’s progress, strengths, and areas that may need further support.

Yes. Lessons are taught by tutors who specialise in their subject areas and are familiar with the requirements of international curricula such as IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, and SAT. This allows students to receive focused academic support from tutors with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience.

Yes. We provide structured support for a wide range of exams and assessments, including IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, SAT, and school-based assessments. Tutors help students strengthen subject knowledge, improve exam techniques, manage time effectively, and build confidence approaching exams.

Yes. Past paper practice is an important part of our exam preparation approach. Tutors use past papers and exam-style questions to familiarise students with question formats, marking criteria, and time management strategies while identifying areas that may need further improvement.

Yes. Our tutors are experienced in supporting students across the IB programme, including MYP and DP assessments. We help students prepare for internal assessments, exams, coursework, and subject-specific requirements while developing the analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills needed for success in the IB curriculum.

Yes. We offer both online and in-person lessons to provide flexibility for families and students. Our online lessons are interactive and structured to ensure students receive the same high-quality academic support and engagement as they would in face-to-face sessions.

Each session is 1 hour long. Students who require additional academic support or more intensive preparation may attend multiple sessions per week depending on their learning needs and goals.

Class sizes are kept intentionally small to ensure students receive personalised attention and active support from the tutor. Most lessons are offered as one-to-one sessions or in micro groups of 2–4 students, allowing for focused instruction, active participation, and tailored academic support. For certain subjects and programmes, such as SAT preparation, Maths & Science booster classes, and Creative Writing, we may also offer small classes of up to 8 students.

Lesson schedules are arranged based on tutor availability and the student’s timetable. We aim to provide flexible scheduling options, including after-school and Saturday sessions where available, to accommodate busy family schedules.

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session, we require advance notice from parents. Depending on tutor availability and the notice provided, we will do our best to arrange a make-up lesson or alternative solution where possible.

We offer a risk-free trial lesson to help families assess whether the tutor is the right fit for the student. Trial lessons are paid sessions, but if you are not satisfied after the lesson, we can arrange a different tutor or provide a refund.

Yes. We understand that finding the right tutor fit is important for both students and parents. As part of our process, we typically begin with a Diagnostic assessment to better understand the student’s needs, followed by a trial lesson before committing to a longer-term programme.

At the moment, we do not offer discounts for lesson packages.
