Our Maths tutors have noticed that, across our IGCSE, IB MYP and Grade 9 & 10 Maths students, there are several recurring topic areas where students tend to struggle or lose marks in assessments and exam-style questions. These include topics such as surds, volume, algebra, ratio and proportion, trigonometry, sequences, probability and statistics, among others.
Rather than simply revisiting the content, each lesson will focus on how to approach different types of questions, alternative methods for solving problems, common mistakes and practical ways to improve.
Students will work through exam-style questions and develop strategies that they can apply to similar questions independently.
The aim is to give students a focused opportunity each week to identify common difficulties, understand the most effective approaches and improve their accuracy when tackling exam questions.
